Retired Assistant Professor in International Peace Studies, Trinity College Dublin

Iain Atack is a retired assistant professor in International Peace Studies in Trinity College Dublin.  He is a member of the board of the International Peace Research Association Foundation (IPRAF) and Action from Ireland (Afri).  He is the coordinator of Swords to Ploughshares, a network of peace groups and peace activists in Ireland.  He is the author of The Ethics of Peace and War (Edinburgh University Press, 2005), and Nonviolence in Political Theory (Edinburgh University Press, 2012) and is currently completing a book on Nonviolence and Political Power.
